This product really works to extend the life of your blade. It cleans the blade well! Just remember to use it after every shave. You do lose the lubricating strip quicker, but the blade stays sharper. I blow dry the blades quickly also to remove any water. Saves money in the long run!

This really does work! Forget about the guy talking about the strip on the razor cartridge still fading. That's irrelevant! The fact is, every time you use the razor pit you are cleaning and sharpening you razor. I used the same pro glide cartridge for 3 straight months and it was still going strong giving me a clean smooth shave. With the price of razor cartridges, how can really afford to be without this little gizmo? Amazing!

You'll be very happy if you buy the RazorPit because it saves a ton of money on cartridges.

I felt a little silly using this, thinking it was too good to be true. But it definitely cleans my Fusion blades and helps them last longer. Worth the investment.

I've been using the Gillette Sensor (original) with the same blade for nearly 90 days and the razor is still going strong. This thing pays for itself in no time. This is a no-brainer to purchase.

After rinsing off the shaving cream from the blade, I do blow it dry so there are no water droplets left on the blade. Easy to do.

I admit I was skeptical about this purchase, but I'm glad I pulled the trigger. I use the Mach3 blades and I shave about 4 times a week. One blade lasted about 75 days. It would have lasted longer but the plastic behind the blade broke off, no fault of the Razor PIt. This thing is simple to use and works as advertised. I am on my second blade since I purchased this back in January!

Don't know about you folks but when I got this little gadget it was to complete my tool kit. The missing link if you wish. See I remember when I was a kid watching my home town barber going through the process of cleaning and sharpining them straight razors. I had a hard time trying to apply the same technic to a Mach 3. First I came across a thin strip of Nano material that really fine sharps and smooth the blades. The problem now was to remove all the gunk that was on and between the blades. That's when I found the Gator cleaning kit! WOW!!!! A brush/scrapper/drying cloth little stick that may not look like much but what a job! So this is what I do:
Once a week on Sunday I use first the Gator and then the Nano to clean and sharpen the Mac 3 blades. Then to keep it that way I use the Razorpit on working days. I've been using the same blade since September of last year (minus days off and vacation time) and it's still going. I reckon I can replace it now ..................... if I want to!!!! My latest tool is just a toothpick to reach deep behind the blades to easily remove the gunk hidden there.
The Razorpit is a very important tool and part of this maintenance process. Like I said it was the missing link!!!!!

When used with a quality shave product like Jack Blacks Beard Lube, which keeps the blades clean, this product really works well. Have used the same blade for about 40 days now. I have a medium thick beard, shave every other day, so if your the same expect the same results. Like already mentioned, the lube strips on the blades go, but that isn't a problem with a quality shave lotion. Also, I've even used it on the single "trim" blade (Mach 3) for the tight spaces and it work on it as well! Already told guys at work and my next order will be about 4 of these for friends and family.

This little gizmo will pay for itself within a few months easily, especially if you use a multi-blade razor. Simple to use, and the results are as advertised. My once a week blade change has been extended to a once a month (or less) event. Sweet!

Here's the truth:

The RazorPit maybe gives you 4 extra shaves out of each blade, max.

The problem with disposable blades (eg. gillette mach 3 etc.) is that the lubricating strip is designed to run out quite quickly and once it does you really can't use the blade anymore.

The razorpit keeps the blades clean but doesn't do anything about the disappearing lubricating strip.

Bought this as one of those...well its worth a shot....and after only a few shaves I am sold. Mind you I shave not only the beard but the skull also. Shaving every other day I get approximately 2 shaves out of each blade. As soon as I got it I used it on a blade I normally would replace for a new one and it shaved with no problems. I am now on shave number 6 with that current blade and am kinda kicking myself for previously spending $12 on a 4 pack the day before. Even if I only get 6 shaves out of a blade....It will more than pay for itself in a few months if not sooner. If your on the fence about buying this product...jump off already and get with it.

I bought this product about a year ago while in the military. Having to be clean shaven every day meant buying new razors about once a month. Then i bought this product. I used it just like in the video and haven't had to change my razor in 7 weeks. It really does work and saves a lot. I even bought one for my dad and he loved it. Great gift idea for people to have to shave everyday or have heavy beards. I would recommend this product to anyone!!!! It is worth it considering how much a person will save with this one product!

Despite its flimsy-appearing construction, this thing really works! I expected textured silicone, not perfectly smooth, but then again I'm not an engineer so what do I know. Works a treat cleaning up multi-blade razors, so I've been using the same one for the past month and expect to continue using it. It doesn't get the crap stuck in the blades at the very end where it attaches to the frame of the cartridge, but I think that is a very very small complaint when you're saving around ninety percent of what you would normally pay for refill cartridges.

That this little thing actually works. I used to get 10 shaves with one Gillette Fusion blade. Using the razorpit I got 74 shaves uptill now. How would have thought...

The RazorPit has made my razors last so much longer than before. Doubt id get 150 shaves out of a single razor but it certainly helps. Ive been using the same razor for 2 months now, which for me is probably around 30 shaves. Its worth it

Glad to see Grooming Lounge carrying the Razor Pit. I've been living in UK for a bit now till my program is done and got one from a site here, and it really does work. Takes a sec to use and I like how it gives me a spot to rest my razor too in my small bathroom. The blades really do stay sharp, maybe not 150 as it says on the box, but even half that amount is still well worth it.
