You may think that ten blades is not worth it, but unlike Gillette blades that last maybe four or five shaves these blades last twice that long and cost about half the price of Gillette Pro Glide!!! Great blades with my Merkur razor! Go slow starting out with these blades and work on form and you should have no problem shaving cut and drag free. I recommend using every product on the GL greatest shave ever line to literally get the greatest shave ever!!

As I turn 51 this year, I finally decided the time was right to really care for myself and my appearance. I switched to a Merkur Heavywieght and Merkur D/E blades and absolutely love them! I am still in the process of learning to shave properly, but I have not let too much blood! Close shaves and ultra smooth skin are worth the effort that this style of shaving requires.

Blades used in conjunction with a Merker Futur. Give a good shave with little or no irritation at a reasonable price.
It would be nice to have a larger selection of D/E blades at GL such as Feather, Astra, Red Personna and Derby.

Just started shaving with a safety razor after using a Gillette for years. These double-edged blades definitely give a much closer shave than that POS Gillette I'd been using, and there's not a chance of me going back to a regular disposable. For the price and ease of shaving with these I am definitely sold (once I relearn how to shave properly!). I will admit without shame that I cut myself a few times my first trip out, but a good post-shave balm took care of that. These are definitely the way a real man shaves!

These blades are pretty good. Definitely a standard for a serious safety razor shaver. I can get ten quality shaves from a single blade, and my beard is on the heavier side. They certainly provide a good shave for a reasonable price.

I used to buy the Gillette disposable razors, at $7 a pack. Overall, I would have to buy about 2 packs a month. It adds up. Plus, the Gillette razors get gooey with old shaving cream. It is dificult to keep those razors clean. With my Double-Edged razor, all I have to do is rinse the razor with bath water and its clean. Also, one pack of Double-Edge razors last me a few months. (Its because the razor edge keeps fresh the more you rinse it.) Love the product. I've had the Merkur Double-Edged razor for a year.
