Five Life Hacks To Make Your Day Even Better
June 25, 2019We can't offer you tomorrow's winning lottery numbers or a magic pill for killer abs -- so hoping you'll settle for some quick life hacks that'll make today or tomorrow a little bit easier.
GO FIRST
This concept is from from Tim Ferriss’ book, Tools of Titans .
Next time you’re in a potentially awkward situation with a stranger, where your instinct is to look away or at your phone, make eye contact and smile. When the cashier asks you how you are, give them your full attention for a second, answer them sincerely and ask them how they are in return. You'll brighten the other person's and your day.
DE-WRINKLE ON THE GO
A tip from Chris Salgardo, who used to run Kiehl's and wrote the book MANMADE.
When packing dress pants or shirts in a suitcase, place some tissue paper on top and below each item to reduce wrinkles. If you need to smooth things out at a hotel or even home, hang those items in the bathroom while you shower to steam 'em a bit.
DRINK A LOT OF WATER
Pretty much everyone will tell you this, but we took advice directly from David de las Morena and his site, How To Beast.
Drinking 8 glasses of high-quality H20 daily will literally help you feel way more energtic and significantly less stressed. Drink a big glass when you wake up. Drink a big glass with every meal. And drink one in between, too.
SALT STAINS AWAY
Even the most-fastidious gent will be faced with this unwanted situation one day. Whether your date spills red wine or that blender decides to throw up on your shirt, simply run for your nearest salt shaker. Scatter some salt on your garments, fabric or carpet whilst working the salt in with your hands. Leave the salt to soak for a few hours before sucking up the crystals with a towel or vacuum or such.
POWDER TO THE PEOPLE
If your undercarriage tends to get a little too swampy or sticky during the day -- whether from regular activities or exercise -- calm things down with a quality men's powder. Just sprinkle some absorbing talc in those shorts to keep the boyz comfy and cozy. You can put this stuff in your shoes too if you want to go sockless.
