WHAT IS THE GROOMING LOUNGE?
The Grooming Lounge is the country's premiere destination (www.groominglounge.com) for quality men's grooming products and services. Whether a man is looking for a new shaving regimen, a hair product, a skincare solution or a way to deal with an embarrassing problem, the Grooming Lounge can help.
At the turn of the century, the Grooming Lounge took its operations offline with the opening of its flagship Barbershop and Spa For Men in Washington D.C. Combining the best parts of a classic barbershop together with the amenities of a modern health spa, the Grooming Lounge offers services ranging from hot lather shaves and haircuts to business manicures and massages.
Since the D.C. store's opening, many quality extensions to the Grooming Lounge brand have been introduced, including the debut of the Grooming Lounge Catalog, the launch of Grooming Lounge Shaving and Hair Care Solutions, and the opening of new Grooming Lounge stores in Tysons Corner, Virginia and Atlanta, Georgia.
WHO IS BEHIND THE GROOMING LOUNGE?

The Grooming Lounge was launched in 1999 by Michael Gilman & Pirooz Sarshar, two individuals with a lifetime of experience in the men's grooming industry (Gilman grew up in the cosmetic product distribution business and Sarshar has been a barber since the age of 16). After serving as the "un-official grooming gurus/suppliers" to their regular-guy buddies for years, the duo decided to make it official by creating a grooming brand incorporating stores, a web site, a catalog and custom-blended grooming products. Above all, Michael and Pirooz want to set a new standard in the industry by making men feel "like kings" via the best in customer and technical service. |
WHY THESE PARTICULAR PRODUCTS?
When it comes to products, The Grooming Lounge only offers the "best of the best." We figured that most guys don't want to sort through 30 or more shaving creams before settling on a selection. So, instead of showcasing every product under the sun, we decided to offer only items that deliver the maximum results for each individual grooming need or challenge.

All products featured on the site are used and recommended by Grooming Experts in our D.C., Virginia and Atlanta stores. These people are experienced professionals and have given every product the "thumbs up."
WHERE DOES THE ADVICE COME FROM?
The advice offered on the site is compiled in conjunction with some of the world's foremost experts on men's grooming (us... and more). In gathering this information, we talked to everyone and anyone with impressive credentials in the field - including the hair, skin and nail professionals on staff in our D.C., Virginia and Atlanta stores. We're grooming geeks, reviewing this stuff is fun for us.
DOES THE GROOMING LOUNGE HAVE A STORE OFFLINE?
Yes. Our first store opened its doors in March 2002 in Washington, D.C. This brick and mortar destination combines our great product offerings together with classic services including haircuts, hot lather shaves, business manicures and more -- all provided in an undeniably masculine setting.
