5 MEN’S SKINCARE MUSTS FROM OUR GUY’S SKINCARE GURU

We recently sat down (actually stood up — as you’ll see in the video below) with everyone’s favorite Men’s Skincare Guru, Claudia Duran (also pictured above), to get her simple tips for the main things every man should do to get better skin.  We’re talking the basics — nothing fancy — just the low-hanging fruit to ensure a man’s skin looks and feels great and healthy 24/7.

Here’s Claudia’s top tips:

  • HYDRATE: “It’s essential to drink plenty of water as it’s skin’s best friend.”
  • EAT HEALTHY: “Everything you consume affects how your skin looks and feels.  So, make sure it’s good stuff and steer clear of junk food and fried items.”
  • PROPERLY CLEANSE:  “Clean your face with a facial cleanser designed for men’s skin, not a regular bar of soap (like Irish Spring or Zest).  A targeted facial cleanser is designed to keep skin clean and soft, while standard bar soaps are often irritating and drying to the skin.”
  • MOISTURIZE: “Use a quality moisturizer 2x per day to balance skin out, make sure oil production stays at the proper levels and to keep skin soft and comfortable feeling and looking.”
  • USE AN SPF: Even when it’s cloudy, you need sun protection.  Too much sun exposure is the main cause of pre-mature aging.”

    I never took into account the fact that what you eat contributes to how you skin looks. I feel like my skin isn’t real healthy, but I’ve noticed I also don’t eat that well. I think changing the way I eat along with finding some good skin care products would be a huge help to me.

    I like the fact that you mention SPF. There’re tons of SPF skin products but none has please me yet. Any recommendation for combination – oily skin?
