RE: INTERVIEW WITH A REALLY BIASED PERSON

 

Hello Grooming Lounge Team.  I recently re-conducted an interview with myself regarding our company and our Grooming Lounge Products.  The interview can be seen below.  I ask that you read through thoroughly and feel free to follow up with me directly with absolutely any questions.  Thanks for everything you do.  FYI, I embedded a code within the interview, which when sent back to me (not copied to everyone) can be redeemed for a valuable $2 scratch-off lottery ticket.  Please read and respond and keep our company moving forward.

INTERVIEWER: WHY WERE GROOMING LOUNGE PRODUCTS CREATED?

MIKE G: It’s a good story as creation of our products came about very naturally and out of the need to have a better quality of product to use in our shops during services.  You see, when Grooming Lounge was just a year or so old, we started chatting with some members of our expert technical team and got the feedback that they “wished they had some shaving products that did x or y.”  Add that to the fact that pretty much none of our guests were specifically asking by name for the other brands we carried.  When we put both of these things together we decided “WHY NOT MAKE OUR OWN PRODUCTS TO OUR EXACT SPECIFICATIONS.  AND AT THE SAME TIME, WE’LL BE ABLE TO BRAND THEM WITH OUR NAME SO WHEN A GUEST IS USING THEM AT HOME, HE’S LOOKING AT GROOMING LOUNGE AND THINKING ABOUT THE EXPERT WHO RECOMMENDED THESE AMAZING PRODUCTS TO HIM.”

So, the answer is that Grooming Lounge Products were created so we would have the best products to use on our guests in our iconic Barbershops and spas.  Now, we just get the extra benefit of offering them online as well.

INTERVIEWER: YOU SAY THE PRODUCTS ARE MADE IN GROOMING LOUNGE BARBERSHOPS AND SPAS?  REALLY?

MIKE G: Well, we don’t actually mix the products and package them on site – that wouldn’t work.  But the important part is that these superior products are developed in concert with the people that make our shops great – YOU.  When we develop formulas, we want and need the ideas and wish lists of the professionals who are going to use or recommend these products daily.  That’s where we get the ideas for the textures, scents, desired results, etc.  And of course, we need approval from the best team in the business before we put these items out for sale.  That’s when we get your approval.  Bottom line is nothing gets put in a blue bottle until our team thinks it’s of A+ quality.

INTERVIEWER: WHAT MAKES GROOMING LOUNGE PRODUCTS SUPERIOR?

MIKE G: It’s the results they provide… period.  They have high-quality ingredients and great scents, but ultimately, the best part is that they do what they set out to do.  If a product isn’t superior to others in its category… it doesn’t get to have our crest on it.  Oh yeah… they also have funny names. And oh yeah… they are 100% guaranteed.  If a guest is less than thrilled… money back.

INTERVIEWER: A LOT OF PEOPLE WANT ALL-NATURAL OR ORGANIC PRODUCTS – ARE GROOMING LOUNGE PRODUCTS ALL NATURAL OR ORGANIC?

MIKE G: There are very, very few products out there that are 100% all-natural or organic.  The reason for that is that it’s not necessary in most cases and also that creating such products is super expensive both for the manufacturer and the end purchaser.  What we do is use “the best ingredients necessary to product the best results.”  So, whenever and wherever possible we avoid “junk ingredients.” Such stuff is pretty non-existent in our products.  We also avoid sulfates and parabens in most of our line and if a product currently has them, we’re working on a plan to phase them out if possible.  Bottom line is that Grooming Lounge Products contain really solid ingredients.

INTERVIEWER: WHY DO YOU LIKE GROOMING LOUNGE PRODUCTS SO MUCH?

MIKE G: Because they’re our products.  We created them and we trust them.  Frankly, they are more important to me than any other brand we offer.  And I know they’re good because you all have tested them and told me so. And I use every single one of them. Also, we’ve tweaked formulations along the way to make them even better.

INTERVIEWER:  ANY NEW PRODUCTS COMING DOWN THE ROAD?

MIKE G: Funny you should ask.  Indeed, we’re currently working on a bar soap with our Best Smeller scent and also an eye cream.
