I think this product works very well without giving anything away about a product being used on your face. Neither matte not greasy but I wouldn’t count on 24 hours. Should 12-18 be enough without washing one’s face anyway? If this product is to be examined by you, you probably would want to wash your mug more than once a day.
I had high hopes for this product, and even higher hopes when it was sold out at launch due to its popularity. While Kiehl's Facial Fuel Energizing Moisture Treatment For Men left a shiny film on my face an hour after application, I couldn't wait to see what Kiehl's came up with as an oil eliminator. 24 hours? And reduces sweat? Sign me up! The product is a good consistency (unlike the sandy Jack Black All Day Oil-Control Lotion), and goes on with a little bit of shine that quickly dries to an even look. It's not as matte a look as the Cosmedicine Medi-matte Oil Control Lotion, but is more natural. After one hour, it's still pretty neutral, but at the 90 minute mark, I've reached for a tissue to blot away some spots. At the 3 hour mark, it's like I never put any sort of oil control product on at all. Kiehl's attempt at an oil control moisturizer unfortunately has fallen short. It did absolutely nothing to reduce sweat. (Also used it on non-sweaty days as a comparison.) That said, there's no perfect product in the marketplace. Anthony Instant Fix Oil Control (For Combination To Oily Skin) comes close, especially with its absorbing qualities (in a quick fix, you can put it on top of unwashed skin), and Jack Black All Day Oil-Control Lotion lasts the longest. Your skin may show different results. If Kiehl's Oil Eliminator works for you, it's a high quality product that's paraben and oil free that goes on well.
