Though I don’t feel particularly qualified to judge this razor as I’ve not used a variety yet nor have much experience in this type of shaving, I do find it to be closer to the middle of the road in terms of aggression (on a scale of 1-9 a 5.5-6 I’d say). It feels very comfortable in the hand and isn’t so long as to be difficult to angle well, and not too short to be difficult to grip. If there was one criticism I could make, it is that the texture on the handle isn’t particularly pronounced and it does feel a little slippery at times.
This safety razor is just like the one your grandfather used. It returns shaving to an art, a ritual, a few minutes spent every morning that can set the tone for your day. You can quickly drag that disposable cartridge razor across your face, or, you can fill the sink with warm water, lather up, and with a clam, slow, even hand, drag the safety razor across your face, and experience how much closer the shave will be, and how much calmer you'll feel after taking just a few minutes to make your shave better. Trust me, it's worth it. The shave is closer, you don't have to go over spots 2 and 3 times, and, the replacement blades are much less expensive that those cartridges you pay $20 a pack for! Its a win-win.
