I use this product as a pre-shave, then massage in shave gel or foam over it. I like the subtle fragrance of this pre-shave. It seems to do a decent enough job. The truth is, I really can't tell how effective any of these products really are. My beard feels the same no matter which I choose. I guess that's why I don't buy the pre-shave made by the Art of Shaving - just way too expensive!
I’m a guy who finds shave oil to be a necessity and Anthony’s is a no brainer brand. You know you’re getting a good product from them.
Great product, easy to apply. A bit thinner than previous I've used but superior quality.
Best pre-shave yet!
If you're like me and have a thick, coarse beard and an easily nicked/cut face, then you really should try a shave oil. I first tried it on a whim, and now I can't imagine ever shaving without a good oil. Being naturally curious and experimental, I've tried countless different oils over the last decade +. I've tried brands like Aesop, Acqua di Parma, Tom Ford, Lab, Art of Shaving (believe it or now, this is one of the best), John Allen's, Brooklyn Grooming, Clarins, Origins (surprisingly, this one stacks up to brands 3 times its cost) Imperial and a few others that I can't quite remember.....I didn't realize what a sickness it was..holy cow! But, after tryingly of these different brands, I still always go back to Anthony. Oddly enough, I've never tried any of their other products, even though this shave oil is my favorite. I am confident that it will be your favorite as well if you give it a try. Experiment like I did (wasting hundreds of dollars), and you'll probably come to the same conclusion: it's the best of bunch. \ I'm confident saying that you'd be happy with Art of Shaving, LAB, or even Origins as well. Some of the others are either not worth the price or just plain bad.
