Ok stuff Review by Mikhail
I tried bluebeard for a little over a year and while it smelled nice, i'm not sure it did anything more than my usual shampoo would have done for my beard. Maybe my beard is just too shortly cropped for it to have the full effect?
Bluebeard's Beard Wash Review by Jeff
Very good smelling wash, easy to use, and gets your beard clean!
Smooth Relief Review by msaravia
This shampoo is such a great asset to reveal that itchy feeling when growing a beard and the lime scent is nice too.
Great Beard Wash Review by Tom
As a guy who has a beard 365 days a year, this stuff is great. I had never thought of using anything special for my beard before I saw this stuff. It really cleans and softens your beard. Combine this with the beard conditioner and the beard saver cream and you cant go wrong.
Eat Pancackes & Grow A Beard Review by El Duderino
This product is pretty dope. It does what it says with only one MAJOR lie. It claims that you need a small amount on your finger tips. This works if you have what us true bearded kin call stubble. However, if you're not a slave to the man and wish to grow an epic beard that makes people stop and think, "That dude probably builds radical decks and sturdy fences to keep wolves and bears out" then you need to apply a small amount to all your fingers and divvy that stuff up into left, right and center. Each with its own application of a "small" amount on ALL your finger tips. That being said, it is more than worth the price you'll pay. It gets all the manly smells outta your beard, birch, cedar, whiskey, malt beer, bacon, maple syrup, tears from vanquished opponents, and the lady from last night. It makes your beard hella soft. Go into a trendy pub and allow the hipster broads to flock to you. Chose one and take her home. Make her pancakes in the morning. Allow her to wash your beard. Then splash some whiskey imbued with bacon around your mancave to mask the smell of Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Great winter product. Review by CJ
If you're like me, you grow a beard in the winter...this stuff is great for a winter beard. While the bottle is a bit small, it has a fresh lemony scent (I was a little surprised by it, as I was expecting something a little more pirate-esque). It gave a decent lather, despite Michael's review...I tend to think Dr. Bronner's is a little harsh on hair, especially facial hair. In any event, this is a good little product...also try the Bluebeards Original Beard Saver, it's a cream that compliments the wash quite well.
Arrrrrrr Review by El Rooparabra
My wife can't understand why I keep yelling, "Arrrrrr" in the bathroom. Guess she doesn't get how fun it is to use a pirate-themed product. It's the little things in life.
A little pricey Review by Dan
I've used Bluebeards for over a year now and it basically works as advertised. However I have a few issues with it. First of all you don't get very much. Per ounce this stuff is like liquid gold. The company addressed this somewhat by offering a larger bottle with added conditioners (white bottle, not as above). But it's still to pricey for the lather. I have to use about a quarter size to get a good penetrating lather going, for my large coarse beard, and I simply can't justify the price. But I guess if I had a few crates of the stuff I wouldn't complain! It has a great smell. Not sure how long it lasts, either, it normally has a clear color but one of my bottles became yellowish before I could finish it.
For Hairy-Faced Scalliwags! Review by Josh
I've had a goatee for years, and just started growing a full beard a little over a month ago. I've always wanted to try Bluebeards, but was always leary of spending that much money, especially for just a goatee. I showed Bluebeards to my wife after I started growing a full beard. Being the wonderful wife she is, she bought me a bottle for Christmas. This is now my favorite part of taking a shower. The first thing I should mention is the scent. It initially smells like Lemonheads candy! Once used, however, it seems to develop a more "refined" scent, so don't worry about smelling like movie theater candy all day. As this isn't a shampoo, it does not create huge amounts of lather. The lather that is created, however, is nice and thick, and penetrates all the way down to the skin. I use between a nickel-size and quarter-size dollop in my hand, and that is plenty for my shortish, thick beard. It rinses clean, and leaves my beard so soft and clean, with no dryness to be found. Although I would prefer to either pay less or get more product for the price, I have no problem spending more money to support a small American company that produces high quality products. Since my beard is somewhat short, I cannot say how this would work on a Santa beard, but for me, this stuff is perfect, and I will never use shampoo again.
not gonna buy again Review by Michael
I have a big beard and this is a small bottle. It doesn't lather very well, I have to use alot. I will stick with washing my beard with Dr. Bronner's Magic Pure Castile Soap. It lathers like crazy. I also bought Bluebeards Original Beard Saver and that stuff is great. I will keep buying that.
