Soooo Many Better Creams Out There. Review by Andre
Art of Shaving makes some fantastic razors, brushes and stands...But their shaving creams, oils and balms are far from something to be desired. Their shaving creams are barely a step above anything that comes out of a can. And for $25 I can tell you, it is NOTHING SPECIAL...That are soooo many better creams on this site that are infinitely better. If you are new to wet shaving, I recommend starting off with Taylor of Old Bond Street. It is a million times better than Art of Shaving and 7 bucks cheaper... Or, you could step up the major leagues and shell out $30 for the Truefitt and Hill shaving creams...By far the best shaving cream, pre-shave oil and balms around....

awful Review by Weston
this stuff was flat out awful! It didn't lubricate my skin at all, provided no razor glide, and barely whipped up well at all. The only redeeming quality I found was the sandalwood and lemon scents are decent (The sandalwood is easily beaten by proraso however). This was the worst shaving product I have ever tried, and not only the cream but the pre-shave oil and after shave were flat out awful to boot. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS!!!!!!!!!!! You will spend less and get a product 9000 times better with a grooming lounge product, or even the stuff in a can. I cannot express how disappointed I was with a product from a company that is called "The ART of shaving" I implore you to not buy these products, and instead doing something useful with your money like getting a product that actually works.
Pretty good shave cream! Review by Ryan
The Art of Shaving is a great company with great products! I combine my Lavender Shave Cream with the Jack Black MP-10 Nourishing Oil for the perfect shave. Only downfall is that you really want to use a pre-shave oil with this product to get the slickest glide and most comfort.
Outstanding shave cream Review by Gordon
I certainly haven't tried them all but this is the best shave cream I have ever used. lathers up perfectly, provides a smooth, clean shave, has a wonderful smell, and washes away without oily residue. And it may seem expensive but it's very concentrated and you won't believe how little is required on your brush to give you a full lather. I like both the unscented and lavender varieties. A++!
Best shaving cream. Period. Review by Steve
I have tried the walmart creams in the cans. I have tried several creams on the grooming lounge website. The one that works best for me is The Art of Shaving Ocean Kelp. I use this cream with a badger brush and it goes on nice and thick with a very pleasant smell, while leaving my skin smooth and cut free. I shave every other day and one tub of this will last me around two months. So don't be afraid of the price because it is very worth it. I also clean my face and use a double edged safey razor with this cream. Just try it and I will bet you will buy it again!!
Helps with a great shave Review by ct
I love Art of Shaving shaving cream in all of its scents. Definitely use with the shave oil and after shave balm for the full luxury effect.
Great shaving cream. Review by Sean
I have tried this cream along with multiple of there other scents. They all work great. They will work fairly well if only hand friction is used, they are fantastic if a shaving brush is used. Just have to add about a quarter size amount into the palm of your hand and work with a brush for a few seconds. You'll get a great lather, and a great shave.
Smooth, close, comfortable Review by Arthur
Art of Shaving is a little pricey, but if you have sensitive skin, this is a great product. I have tried many over the years, and Art of Shaving cream gives me a close shave without much irritation. For problem areas, add the preshave oil before lathering on the shave cream. The protection of the shaving cream also allows you to make various strokes in the different directions without needing to reapply. Most importantly, finish with a soothing after shave/moisturizer. I haven't found one in 7 years that rivals Zia's Dual Action Post Shave Moisturizer.
