I am 24 years old and have been very concerned with skincare and grooming for a few years now. I have tried basically every product under the sun and obviously I have found some I have liked and some I haven't. Not once in all these years and through all these products have I even felt slightly compelled to write a review.....until now (except for Zappo's customer service, but that's a different story) The skin on my face is on opposite ends of the spectrum. My forehead and cheek area looks like I was in an oil spill and my chin and mouth area is constantly dry enough that it is flaking, especially when I eat or talk and am moving that area a lot. I've never been able to find a product that fits my dual needs, so I've been mainly using oil control lotions. They have helped the shine somewhat, but they're not near moisturizing enough for the rest of my face. I decided to give Malin + Goetz a try and just use it in conjunction withy my oil control lotion. However, I decided to give this stuff a try on my entire face and see how it turned out. WOW!!!!! I can't even begin to describe how much this has changed my face in the last few weeks. My forehead and cheeks have absolutely zero shine now and a completely matte finish. My dry areas are completely hydrated and I can talk as much as like without flaking. To sum this moisturizer up in one word....perfect. If you're not using this stuff you're depriving yourself of the best skin of you life.

The moisturizer feels great, hands down. It's light and is absorbed really quick. My downside is it's price for 4oz. and how long it lasts. I recently tried Jack Black moisturizer with SPF and it costs much less per oz. and at 3.3oz. it has lasted much longer. Partially due to it's bottle design and portion control due to the pump bottle. After the M+G moisturizer stopped coming out I cut the packaging open and there was a full 5 days of use in there, twice per day. I probably will not purchase it again based on that.

I tried this one out based on the good reviews. I really did like it and my skin felt great but it does not have any spf in it. My solution was adding an spf on top which really increased the cost of this product. I would recommend the Jack Back Double Duty over this because it is a two in one product and has just as good ingredients.

i needed somthing that wasn't greasy or smelling - this stuff goes on smothly, is scent free, absorbs quickly and works!

The hype is true. This is the best all purpose face moisturizer I have ever used. It is rich and hydrating yet absorbs completely for a shine free finish. Perfect for day and night or as a after shave balm. Great stuff. I try to always have it around. I just wish GL would offer the 8.5 oz pump size.

lotion for your face?! gross no way! WRONG! After washing your face with a cleanser your face is clean, but sometimes the cleanser can strip away everything including the natural oils that keep you from your face getting dry, this is where moisturizer comes in. I thought it was little pricy but i see that it is taking care of what it needs to. i use a dime size and keeps my face from over drying.

This is my favourite moisturizer and Malin & Goetz product. I have really oily skin and this is great. I start with a Dermalogica cleanser to get rid of the oil and finish with this lotion and it's the best combination I've found so far. I also like that there is no scent, it makes my skin feel great. It is pricey, however 4 oz does last quite a while.

A little pricey, but goes on real easy and does not feel too greasy! Works well!

Pricey but worth every penny. I have oily sensitive skin. I use this everyday and it has substantially cut down on the oily appearance as well as kept my face moisturized, even in winter months. Highly recommended

This stuff does the job very well and at a relatively good price. I have used other moisturizers that cost more per once that were to greasy or smelled terrible. This is very light consistency with a mild smell. Also it absorbs really fast.

my first experience with M+G, this is an excellent no frills, no fragrance moisturizer. it almost borders on a balm, not quite, but thicker and heavier than most others I've tried, but in a good way. it has no problem soaking in through a 3-day no shave. it's summer here now, but I think during winter, when my skin is even more dry, the true quality of this product will really become obvious. GREAT..easily recommend.

Really, there's nothing I can say that hasn't been said already. This is a great product. Yes, maybe a little on the pricey side, but the only Malin + Goetz products that I find to be inexpensive are the body washes. Most of the time I use the Vitamin E moisturizer on the top half of my face and Barc Bump Down on the lower half... and sometimes all over. Either way, I have not been disappointed with the results.

While I have only tried a few others, I am absolutely convinced that this is the best moisturizer out there. It makes my face look vibrant and gives it color and tone. It also stops any dry, flaky, irritated skin (due to shaving, the elements, or a long night out) in its tracks. And it's great as an after-shave balm. Expensive, but highly recommended.

After using this i have no more dry skin. Winter or Summer my skin is smooth and flake free. It works amazingly well. It is well worth the money and lasts long!

Okay, I'm a sucker for top rated products and sometimes skeptical, but I bought this product as a sample at first, tried it and saw results almost immediately. It absorbs fast and moisturizes and maintains a good balance all day long without shine - which I'm prone to have. This has become my favorite moisturizer ever...um...sorry Anthony.

I apply some after shaving to areas prone to drying, flaky skin. This cream nips all that in the bud (to borrow a phrase), and leaves my skin looking great all day long. Love that I can easily read and understand all ingredients.

I got this as a sample from a previous groominglounge.com order and it really helped with some dry facial skin around by nose and mouth. I put it on after shaving and in the evening, and the dry skin was gone by day three. Am contemplating getting the full size because this stuff works so darn well and I like what's in it.

45 dollars for 4 oz of a moisturizer is a bit steep. But this stuff is great. I used Anthony Logistics Oil Free Moisturizer before, and this stuff blows it away. It doesnt make my face oily, but at the same time, it moisturizes far more than Anthony's, so my face doesn't produce more oil to compensate. Hasn't caused any problems with acne either. Great Stuff.
