A departure from earlier John Varvatos offerings in both note composition and flacon, modern scent is an exotic, head-turning mix of woodsy and aromatic perfection. Composed of top notes like Red Ginger, Juniper Berries and Cedrat, the initial intoxicating whiff soon gives way to a heart incorporating Blue Spruce and Green Cardamom. A final, noticeable (but not overly so) base clears the deck and introduces Vetiver, Venezuela Tonka and Belambre (think Musk) to leave the wearer with a fresh, hard to imitate presence. Price Value Quality Got a first sample in gq and was hooked. Scent is hard to replicate and really recommend as a good change up from JVs other fragrance.
