Throwing crisp spirals or completing a dozen pull-ups aren’t prerequisites for acquiring Athlete’s Foot. And while any Joe Schmo is vulnerable to this bummer of a fungal infection, the good news is that proper hygiene and prevention can usually make it a non issue. |
• Sandal Your Business: Without exception, always wear shower shoes or sandals in locker rooms and public showers. Flop out flip-flops for a new pair when they become nasty.
• Happy Feet: Wash feet, particularly between the toes, with a quality soap, and dry thoroughly when complete. Pay particular attention to the space between the toes.
• Sock It To Yourself: Wear lightweight cotton socks to help reduce sweat and be certain to change or remove socks immediately after exercise or sweat-inducing situations. Try using a a talc-powder to keep the feet dry.
• Let Us Spray: Prevention-targeted products can help ward off issues, including odor and more. Try spraying a foot spray onto feet or sprinkling a powder into socks prior to getting going.
• Mr. Clean: Regularly spray your tub and bathroom floor with a disinfectant and make sure to swap out towels at least weekly.
